A message from our Cambridge University Press editors...
"We are sorry not to see you in person this year at the Society for Military History Conference, but Cambridge University Press invites you to browse our latest offerings in military history through this virtual exhibit. As ever, we have a really strong collection of new titles in military history from trade books, reference and textbooks to the latest scholarly research. Some new titles that we are especially excited to share with you include two new additions to our longstanding Cambridge Histories programme of authoritative reference works in the three-volume Cambridge History of the American Civil War edited by Aaron Sheehan-Dean and the four-volume Cambridge World History of Violence under the general editorship of Joy Damousi and Philp Dwyer. In our growing Trade programme we are delighted to be publishing the paperback edition of Jonathan Fennell’s award-winning Fighting the People’s War and Gregory Daddis’s Pulp Vietnam which will be the first title in a new series on Military, War, and Society in Modern American History under the general editorship of Beth Bailey and Andrew Preston. Finally, we wanted to highlight the imminent publication of new editions of two of our bestselling military history textbooks with the revised edition of The Cambridge History of Warfare edited by Geoffrey Parker, whose keynote lecture on the Military Revolution was such a highlight of last year’s conference, and the second edition of Evan Mawdsley’s World War II. We hope you enjoy browsing the books (all of which are available with a 30% discount) and look forward to seeing you all at next year’s conference."
