Constant Acceleration of an Undamped Simple Vibrator Through Resonance

Summary

For a simple undamped vibrator driven by a force whose frequency varies linearly with time, simple algebraic expressions are derived which give values for the maximum amplitude performed by the vibrator and for the frequency of the driving force where the maximum displacement occurs. Driving forces of both increasing and decreasing frequencies are considered.
