Antarctic Science Special Collection Call for Papers

XIII SCAR Biology Symposium, Christchurch New Zealand

The journal Antarctic Science has a long and productive relationship with SCAR, and enthusiastically welcomed the long-awaited resumption of 'in person' meetings. The excellent Symposium provided many exciting and high quality presentations as well as considerable stimulating discussion, integrating the SCAR biology community across the spectrum from early career to emeritus.

As announced at the Symposium, Antarctic Science is offering the opportunity to contribute submissions to form a ‘Special Collection’ of articles arising from the meeting and its associated workshops. As always, the conference attracted wide ranging contributions across the breadth of science carried out in and about Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, with sessions and workshops covering all aspects of terrestrial and marine biology, data science, technological advances, environmental description and modelling, climate change, conservation planning and feed into governance.

We now warmly invite submissions in any field of Antarctic research from participants of the XIII SCAR Biology Symposium. The journal publishes all standard types of articles (research articles, reviews, perspective and opinion articles, short communications). We hope this opportunity may interest many participants in the Symposium.
