This issue brings 2015 to a close, and it has been a year of major change for Brain Impairment. We have seen a change of guard with our appointments as Co-editors, and the appointment of a new Associate Editor, Petrea Cornwell. A well-attended meeting of the Editorial Board was convened at the INS/ASSBI conference in Sydney in July. And the journal has been delivered in an on-line format for the full year.

We are very pleased to announce that an application to JCR has been successful and the journal is now listed in the Rehabilitation category, which is a logical grouping for the journal to belong to. This is in addition to the original categories of Neurosciences and Clinical Neurology.

In this issue 16.3, we include the Presidential address by Associate Professor Tamara Ownsworth from the 2015 conference, along with the student prize winning abstracts. This seems a fitting way to round off the year and represents a break from the tradition of publishing these in the first issue of the year to coincide with the following year's conference. Next year, we will be shifting the first issue to March in preparation for the move to four issues per year in 2017, so there will no longer be alignment with conference. The first issue of 2016 will be a special issue on Physical Activity in Neurological Populations guest edited by Professor Suzanne Kuys.

We would like to thank all those who have helped us find our feet in this first year, including the outgoing editors Robyn Tate and Jacinta Douglas, our extraordinary editorial officer Margaret Eagers, the publishing team at Cambridge University Press, the Publications Committee, and the ASSBI Executive. We are also grateful to the Editorial Board and the many other reviewers who have generously given their time and are listed in this issue.
