Abstract

We have started a survey of M 33 in order to find variable stars andCepheids in particular. We have obtained more than 30 epochs ofg'r'i' data with the CFHT and theone-square-degree camera MegaCam. We present first results from thissurvey, including the search for variable objects and a basiccharacterization of the various groups of variable stars.
