Abstract

This chapter is a first step towards visibility modeling. It describes analytical expressions for visibility curves derivedfrom "classical" brightness distributions. It describes firstsome general useful tools for this kind of computation and thendiscusses several widely used morphologies. Finally, some practicalissues of visibility modeling are discussed.
