The amino-acids of sheep and cow urine

Extract

1. Samples of sheep and cow urine have been analysed microbiologically for seventeen aminoacids.

2. Over 90% of the total amino-nitrogen in hydrolysed urine was due to glycine.

3. Bound glycine was present not only as hippuric acid but also in other forms as yet uninvestigated.
