During the last 5–6 years, many visitors to this Institute have expressed interest in the apparatus used in the Nutrition Department to collect the total urine excreted by male cattle and sheep. The apparatus has now been in continuous routine use for over 6 years and can be regarded as very reliable. This note describes the equipment, shown diagrammatically in Fig. 1.
