The Royal Institute of Navigation has in its possession a remarkable set of works by its late Honorary Member Vice-Admiral Francisco Radler de Aquino. An interesting feature of many of the items of this set is the large number of annotations, made by Aquino, which throw light on the development of his short-method tables—a development which continued throughout Aquino's long career as a distinguished navigator.
