Abstract

Diplocladium gregarium was describedalmost one hundred years ago, later transferred to Cylindrocladium, and finally excluded fromthis genus. It has recently been rediscovered from bark beetle galleries in the bark of Piceaabies and Pinus sylvestris in Germany. The fungus is redescribed and a new genus isproposed to accommodate it.
