Avoparcin is a feed antibiotic growth promoter used widely in Europe for broiler chickens, pigs and beef cattle.

This paper presents the results of 17 trials conducted in the UK (13), France (3) and Germany (1) to determine the efficacy of avoparcln at levels of 50-150mg per head per day for improving milk production of lactatlng dairy cows.
