Restricted suckling and milking patterns can alter saleable milk yield and composition in dual-purpose systems (Sandoval and Leaver, 1995). However, nutrition may influence the response achieved under different management systems. An experiment was carried out to investigate the relationship between nutrition and restricted suckling and milking patterns on milk yield, milk composition and calf growth. The experiment was carried out under tropical conditions in S.E. Mexico.
