Owing to a printing error, Table 2 of the paper ‘40Ar–39Ar isotope constraints on the age of deformation in Charnwood Forest, UK’ by J. N. Carney, P. Alexandre, M. S. Pringle, T. C. Pharaoh, R. J. Merriman & S. J. Kemp (doi:10.1017/S0016756808004950; 145 (5), 2008, pp. 702–13, this issue) contains a misplaced heading: the heading ‘Step-heating experiments’ should appear 18 rows up from the bottom of the first page of the table, between the blocks of figures for samples JNC 542A and JNC 649, not at the top of the second page as currently printed. The corrected table is printed below.
