A 50-year-old man with a history of liver cirrhosis secondary to alcohol abuse presents for an exploratory laparotomy for a suspected bowel obstruction. His blood pressure is 100/50 mm Hg and his heart rate is 92. His abdomen is severely distended with ascites. How does his liver cirrhosis and ascites affect your anesthetic plan?
