On page 146, the first sentence of the second paragraph contains the misprint ‘statues' instead of the correct ‘status’. The corrected version of the sentence should read as follows:

Larch, for Vitruvius, is an index of the unfinished status of the city of Rome and thus, Vitruvius implies, of the project of empire.
