The original publication of this paper (Rodríguez-Mayoral et al., 2020) contained two errors.

Firstly, it was not made explicit that the Mexican version of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (Galindo Vázquez et al., 2015) includes 6 items for the anxiety and depression subscales, with 2 items (items 7 and 8) having been eliminated through exploratory factor analysis.

Additionally, the description of the response numbering used in both the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) developed by Zigmond and Snaith (1983) and the Mexican version validated by Galindo Vázquez et al. (2015) was incorrect in the original article due to a typographical error. All items have four responses scored from 0–3.

The authors apologize for these errors.
