This manuscript was previously published with an error in the abstract. The first sentence of the abstract originally read:

‘Interest in large language models (LLMs) as a tool for meta-analyses and systematic reviews (MA/SRs).’

This has now been corrected to:

‘Interest in large language models (LLMs) as a tool for meta-analyses and systematic reviews (MA/SRs) is growing.’

The authors apologise for this error.
