The first issue in volume 25 marks not only the transition of Acta Neuropsychiatrica to the Scandinavian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (SCNP), as mentioned earlier (Reference Wegener and Andreassen1,Reference Wegener2), but also welcomes our new publisher, Cambridge University Press (CUP).

CUP will support Acta Neuropsychiatrica with the same high quality and efficiency as our previous publisher, John Wiley & Sons, and will help to further develop the journal in an increasingly competing market. Both the SCNP and the editors are excited about partnership with CUP, which corroborates the strong ambitions of the SCNP.

CUP is a not-for-profit organisation, which currently publishes over 300 peer-reviewed academic journals for the global market. The journals contain the latest research from a broad sweep of subject areas. CUP journals are accessible worldwide in print and online.

Despite the Scandinavian connection between Acta Neuropsychiatrica and SCNP, the true playground of the journal is worldwide, making the match with CUP perfect. This is clearly illustrated in the current issue with contributions from India, China, Brazil, Iran, USA, Colombia, Taiwan, Sweden and Switzerland.

As stated in the aims of Acta Neuropsychiatrica, we welcome reviews, original research articles, short communications, case reports and debate papers. The overall continued purpose of Acta Neuropsychiatrica is to provide our readers with the latest, preferentially translational, perspectives from current and emerging areas, across all disciplines and fields relevant to neuropsychiatry.

I welcome all of you to this ‘Scandinavian’ version of Acta Neuropsychiatrica, encouraging basic and clinical scientists to submit their research to us. I would also welcome any suggestions that readers may have to further improve the journal.
