Welcome to another issue of Applied Psycholinguistics. This special issue not only brings new and topical articles, but it also marks the departure of our much appreciated Associate Editor, Albert Costa, and the arrival of his replacement, Giuli Dussias. Similarly, Amy Buckland has ended her excellent work as journal coordinator and will be replaced by Susy Bienstock. In the near future two additional Associate Editors will join this new team.

The Journal's performance has continued to rank Applied Psycholinguistics very favorably compared to other journals in the field. Applied Psycholinguistics’ 5-year impact factor is 1.887. Furthermore, the per-article influence factor is 0.897456. Finally, our rate of international collaborators on articles (authors from more than one country) is exceptionally high at 54.84%.

This kind of performance is above all attributable to the wonderful work of the group of reviewers who are listed below and to the Journal's Associate Editors. Without peer review and the excellence of science that it engenders, a journal such as this one would, quite simply, not be possible. A hearty thanks to all of you.
