Enrolled summary of the account rendered by the sheriff of Somerset and Dorset, for the payment of the wages of workmen to quarry stone at Abbotsbury and Windsbatch (Dorset) from 7 March to 13 June 1350, and the purveyance of a marble altar for St Stephen's chapel, and plaster and stones, by the king's mason Robert de Esshyng, pursuant to the king's writ close dated 20 July 1350, by which the sheriff was ordered to pay [and account] for them; included in his account for that year.

Physical description: The first membrane of a rotulet of two membranes, in a larger roll of accounts sewn together at the top; in good condition and wholly legible.

Scope of transcription: The portion of the sheriff 's account relating to Robert de Esshyng's expenses.
