Summary

Enrolled summary of the account rendered at the Exchequer by William of Sleaford, the king's clerk of works at the palace of Westminster and Tower of London, for his receipts and expenditure on building works at Westminster and the Tower, together with a store account.

Physical description: The first membrane of a rotulet of two membranes, in a large roll of accounts, sewn together at the top; in good condition and wholly legible.

Scope of transcription: The total amount of receipts, and expenditure on building works in the palace of Westminster, St Stephen's chapel and other chapels in the same palace, and the cloister and college, with extracts from the store account relating to St Stephen’s.
