Summary
Folios 244r–249r contain documents concerning Chepe [Cheapside]. Each page has the red-ink heading “Chepe”. No initials have been done in this section but a space two lines deep has been left for each, and a small letter written faintly is left as a guide for the future initialler.

Vicesimo die mensis Augusti anno domini millesimo quadringentesimo septuagesimo secundo, et anno regni regis Edwardi quarti post conquestum Anglie duodecimo, ego, Johannes Orewelle, civis & aurifaber civitatis London’, compos mentis ac in bona & sana memoria, laudetur altissimus, existens, condo, facio, & ordino presens testamentum meum indentatum continens meam ultimam voluntatem quo ad disposicionem tocius illius mesuagii mei cum shopis, domibus, solariis, celariis, aliisque edificiis eidem mesuagio pertinentibus sive spectantibus inferius specificatis in hunc modum: In primis, lego et commendo animam meam deo omnipotenti creatori ac redemptori meo, beatissimeque Marie virgini matri ejus, & omnibus sanctis.
