This paper describes the immature stages of the striped caterpillar Epicerura pulverulenta Hampson, a notodontid defoliator of combretaceous trees, viz., Terminalia ivorensis, T. superba, T. catappa and Anogeissus leiocarpus. The structure and chaetotaxy of the mature (fifth stage) larva is described in detail with illustrations to aid easy field identification of the moth.
