Cambridge Studies in Modern Optics is an international series which contains books on all aspects of theoretical and applied modern optics. Books in the series range in level from advanced texts suitable for final-year undergraduates and beginning graduate students through to monographs dealing with very specialised subjects in the field. The topics covered will be of interest to physicists, chemists and other scientists as well as engineers in universities and in industry.
