Some common ways that people choose to share content are:
- Emailing a link or PDF to colleagues.
- Posting a link or uploading a PDF to a personal or departmental website.
- Uploading a version of the content to a subject or institutional repository.
- Posting a link or uploading a PDF to a commercial site for sharing research, such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or SSRN.
Many of our journals also provide a tool called Cambridge Core Share, which enables readers to easily generate a free link to an online, read-only journal article.
We recognise that sharing content is an important part of research and collaboration – vital to disseminating findings, stimulating discussion, and advancing research.
We support responsible sharing of the content we publish.
By “responsible sharing” we mean sharing content in ways that respect publishers’ policies about which versions of content can be shared and how. This helps ensure the sustainability of the work we do producing the high-quality publications on which research and learning depend.
