Judging

Applications will be judged by the Cambridge Advantage Academic Board at Cambridge University Press, according to the criteria below.

Judges will be asked to declare any conflicts of interest relating to the applications we receive. Winners will be decided by consensus and no single judge will be solely responsible for shortlisting an application.

When assessing applications, judges will consider:

  • Is the applicant eligible to apply?
  • Will their initiative involve direct collaboration between the University and Cambridge University Press?
  • Will their initiative achieve one or more of the budget’s aims outlined in section 3?
  • Is their plan feasible and realistic?
  • Will their initiative be cost-effective?
  • Do they demonstrate a sound plan to evaluate the success of their initiative?
  • Will the funding help to kick-start an initiative that will have long term-benefits after the funding has been spent?
