Neurological disorders are the leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death worldwide. Population growth and ageing are leading to an increase in the number of people living with neurological disabilities and dying from neurological causes. Such epidemiological change should prompt better research into evidence-based prevention and health care [1]. Making an accurate diagnosis [2] and having an understanding of the patient journey are important components of a neurologist’s job.
