Typical questions
• Where can I find articles on discrete algorithms?
• I need examples of mathematical modelling.
Starting points
• Maths is not everyone's favourite subject! Many queries come from students studying other topics who need to calculate or understand statistical tables. In these circumstances, check if any local support is available and try consulting the Study guides.
• New research is often published in the form of working papers. Serious researchers should be reminded to check these in addition to the journal article indexes. See also the Grey Literature chapter.
