Summary

This part introduces carefully chosen advanced topics that are appropriate for graduate students or undergraduate students who might pursue study in the design optimization field. These topics will generally be of great interest to industry practitioners as well. While these topics are advanced, a mathematically advanced presentation is not provided. Instead, an introductory presentation is provided, with an eye toward practical usefulness.
