Submitting your materials

Licence to publish

Before Cambridge can publish your manuscript, we need a signed licence to publish agreement. Under the agreement, certain rights are granted to the journal owner which allow publication of the article. The original ownership of the copyright in the article remains unchanged. For full details see the publishing agreement page.

Article Processing

As part of its editorial processes, Cambridge University Press may share relevant submission data and manuscript content with in-house or third-party tools to process manuscripts and prepare them for publication. Any such information sharing is conducted in accordance with appropriate local privacy and processing laws, applicable Terms of Use, and ethical guidance. For the avoidance of doubt, any in-house or third-party tools deployed by Cambridge or our suppliers that make use of AI will not use submission data or manuscript content to train their models. Where AI tools are used in the editorial process between submission and acceptance, editorial decisions will be made by a human who remains responsible for assessing the scholarly and ethical acceptability of your work. In cases of alleged or suspected misconduct, the journal will investigate in line with COPE recommendations.
