Extract

This is the 34th year that I have been monitoring participation bywomen at our Annual Meeting. These PS reports havedocumented the ascent of women in our profession. Considerablechanges in the status of women in the profession have occurred since1972 when I first did my tally of participation at our AnnualMeeting. (Ex., the three most recent APSA presidents have all beenwomen; a long way up from marginalization.)
