Aims and Scope
Over the last years, medical robots have experienced a significant development from basic research systems to robust, easy to use medical devices on the market. Nowadays, as innovations in the field rapidly accelerate, there has been an unparalleled rise in applications and systems. The newest generation of medical robots not only functions as an agile extension of the human eyes and hands, but also becomes a skillful and smart partner to their human counterpart.
This special issue in Robotica is targeting authors who wish to contribute to knowledge dissemination in medical robotics, robot-assisted procedures, smart instrumented tools for surgery, haptic feedback in medical robotics, rehabilitation robotics, interventional therapy, medical imaging for robotic interventions, surgical simulation, soft-tissue modelling, telesurgery, and related areas.
We invite submission of high quality papers as related to recent advances in medical robotics.
