Dana R.H. Doan completed her Ph.D. in August 2024 with the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Dana co-convenes ISTR’s Research for Practice Affinity Group and her research interests include: community-led development; community philanthropy; learning, monitoring and evaluation; social impact measurement; and nonprofit management.
Bhakti is a doctoral candidate at the School of Business, University of St Andrews (UK), researching the limits and possibilities of contemporary philanthropy. Prior to her turn to doctoral studies, she was a Philanthropy Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy, Ashoka University (India). She has worked with nonprofits in India in roles spanning organisational development, fundraising, and grant management, and was a Guest Faculty/Mentor with the Indian School of Public Policy and the Global Policy, Diplomacy, and Sustainability (GPODS) Fellowship.
Alexandra is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research focuses on philanthropic foundations, accountability and place-based giving.
