With this issue of the Journal of Linguistics we say goodbye to S.J. Hannahs, a fellow editor since 2015. We thank S.J. for his dedicated service to the Journal and wish him a very happy retirement. We are delighted that he will continue his association with the Journal by being a member of the Editorial Board. We also extend a warm welcome to Marc van Oostendorp (Meertens Institute Amsterdam & Radboud University Nijmegen), who joins the team as a new editor.
