We show that the modules for the Frobenius kernel of a reductive algebraic group over an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic $p$ induced from the $p$ -regular blocks of its parabolic subgroups can be $\mathbb{Z}$ -graded. In particular, we obtain that the modules induced from the simple modules of $p$ -regular highest weights are rigid and determine their Loewy series, assuming the Lusztig conjecture on the irreducible characters for the reductive algebraic groups, which is now a theorem for large $p$ . We say that a module is rigid if and only if it admits a unique filtration of minimal length with each subquotient semisimple, in which case the filtration is called the Loewy series.

We deal with the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations with vortex patches as initial data. Such data describe an initial configuration for which the vorticity is discontinuous across a hypersurface. We give an asymptotic expansion of the solutions in the vanishing viscosity limit which exhibits an internal layer where the fluid vorticity has a sharp variation. This layer moves with the flow of the Euler equations.

We study fiber functors on Tannakian categories which are equipped with a grading or a filtration. Our goal is to give a comprehensive set of foundational results about such functors. A main result is that each filtration on a fiber functor can be split by a grading fpqc-locally on the base scheme.

Let $\mathcal{L}^{S}\left (s,\pi ,{\mathfrak{st}}\right )$ be a partial $\mathcal{L}$ -function of degree $7$ of a cuspidal automorphic representation $\pi $ of the exceptional group $G_2$ . In this paper we construct a Rankin–Selberg integral for representations having a certain Fourier coefficient.

We study the consequences of stationary and semi-stationary set reflection. We show that the semi-stationary reflection principle implies the Singular Cardinal Hypothesis, the failure of the weak square principle, etc. We also consider two cardinal tree properties introduced recently by Weiss, and prove that they follow from stationary and semi-stationary set reflection augmented with a weak form of Martin’s Axiom. We also show that there are some differences between the two reflection principles, which suggests that stationary set reflection is analogous to supercompactness, whereas semi-stationary set reflection is analogous to strong compactness.

When the branch character has root number $- 1$ , the corresponding anticyclotomic Katz $p$ -adic $L$ -function vanishes identically. For this case, we determine the $\mu $ -invariant of the cyclotomic derivative of the Katz $p$ -adic $L$ -function. The result proves, as an application, the non-vanishing of the anticyclotomic regulator of a self-dual CM modular form with root number $- 1$ . The result also plays a crucial role in the recent work of Hsieh on the Eisenstein ideal approach to a one-sided divisibility of the CM main conjecture.
