In “The Names We Know: The Complexities of Coauthorship and Gender in Archaeology Peer-Reviewed Journals” (Oas et al. Reference Oas, Kelsey, Samantha and Sarah2026) in issue 14(1) of Advances in Archaeological Practice, the discussion of the Matilda effect in archaeology on page 85 wrongly cited Margarita Díaz-Andreu’s 2013 article “Ethics and Archaeological Tourism in Latin America” published in the International Journal of Historical Archaeology. The authors intended instead to cite Margarita Díaz-Andreu’s 2025 chapter “The Matilda Effect in Archaeology: Recovering Women for the History of the Discipline” published in The Routledge Handbook of Gender Archaeology. The correct citation is
Díaz-Andreu, Margarita. 2025. The Matilda Effect in Archaeology: Recovering Women for the History of the Discipline. In The Routledge Handbook of Gender Archaeology, edited by Marianne Moen and Unn Pedersen, pp. 126–145. Routledge, London.
