Collaborating, connecting and creating: a feminist response to the Chelsea College of Arts Library special collections through exhibition making.

Abstract

In 2024 The Library at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London collaborated with Subjectivities & Feminisms, a staff research group at University of the Arts London to create an exhibition in response to material selected from Library Special Collections. The exhibition was titled Undoing, redoing, revolting : A feminist response to the special collections at Chelsea College of Arts. This article discusses the process of developing the exhibition as a collaborative process and the challenges and opportunities it created.
