Professor Bruce Caterson on behalf of all the authors of this paper has requested that the following notice of retraction is published. All the authors have been notified of this action.

Following further work at Cardiff University it has been discovered that the paper contains several examples of misrepresentation of scientific data. These data were prepared and presented by the first author Dr Clare L Curtis. Factual data related to this study will be submitted in due course to scientific journals for peer-review and future publication.
