Abstract

We critique the typical use of visual aids at political scienceconferences and make suggestions about more effective ways toincorporate them into presentations. Our main suggestions are thatpolitical scientists should use fewer and simpler slides, and thatthose slides should contain visually richinformation that illustrates a speaker's point without distractingthe audience from his or her words.
