She describes the pain as a constant dull ache that becomes sharp and stabbing, and rates it as an 8 out of 10. She has tried non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and heat with some relief. She states intercourse and increased physical activity worsen the pain. She has regular menses with mild dysmenorrhea, and her last menstrual period was one week ago. Her past medical history is significant for chlamydia and past surgical history is significant for laparoscopic appendectomy. She has a history of cocaine and marijuana use and had intercourse with multiple male partners in exchange for drugs. She is currently safe, living with her cousin, and attending an outpatient rehabilitation program.
