Summary

The following details from parish registers and Vivian's edition of the visitations amplify the notes made by Furse and later his son at pages 76-7.

The child Robert Furse was buried 21 December 1577 at Dean Prior, but apparently not baptised there, probably dying before baptism.

Baptisms of two daughters are evident in the Dean Prior registers 1562 and later in the 1560s, but their names are lost owing to damage. They are probably Joan and Margaret. Joan married at Mary Tavy in 1581. Furse himself does not mention a Margaret, although Vivian does in Visitations (p. 385), and may have seen the parish register when in better condition. He gives her date of baptism as 1562, and does not mention Joan. Annes's baptism is not evident at Dean Prior, but there is damage to the register. Furse records her marriage to John Wolcomb of Plympton. Vivian records a second marriage to William Gould of Staverton in 1618.

Mary was baptised 10 March 1564/5, and her marriage was in 1591 or 1592.

Elizabeth was baptised 7 March, probably 1568, but pages are damaged.

Wilmot was baptised 14 May 1570 at Dean Prior, and married at St Thomas in 1592.

Grace was baptised 24 April 1573.

Jane was baptised 5 June 1575.

Susanna was baptised 15 April 1579 and married at Dean Prior 21 January 1604/5.

Anne was baptised 11 October 1581.

John was baptised 24 June 1584, and died 16 March 1609/10.

John's children's baptisms were: Robert 21 September 1606, Elizabeth (Plympton St Mary) 24 March 1606, Frances (Dean Prior) 14 October 1607, John 27 December 1608, and Ferdinand or Fardinando 14 January 1609.
