Chapters 7–14 include case studies with commentaries that reflect the complexities and implications of management mistakes. The cases, written by Frankie Perry, reveal the diversity of special interests, the competing values, and the moral conflicts that challenge healthcare managers. Perhaps most importantly these management errors provide evidence of the need for an organizational culture that acknowledges, examines, and learn from mistakes, so that fewer are made.
