Summary

The key new features include:

  • • An online version of the text, available on subscription, which allows greater flexibility in terms of content, the use of video material, and the inclusion of relevant weblinks.

  • • The content of the online version will be reviewed annually, with new evidence and content added where necessary. It is said that a conventional postgraduate medical textbook is out of date by the time it is published. High-Risk Pregnancy – Management Options is the only postgraduate textbook in obstetrics that features regular review and updating.

  • • The annual update represents a bigger commitment from authors and editors and thus the editor team has been enlarged.

  • • A new publisher, Cambridge University Press.

    • However, we retain many of the features that made High-Risk Pregnancy – Management Options successful:

    • All chapters have been written or updated to reflect the current management options and to incorporate changes in practice since the last edition. Over the years High-Risk Pregnancy - Management Options has been popular because it is relevant to the daily practice of its readers. In summary, the book is a manual for the management of problem pregnancies. We hope that the fifth edition will maintain and enhance that reputation and will prove even more valuable to busy clinicians.
