About the series

This Elements series provides an extensive overview of major figures, theories, and concepts in the field of ethics. Each entry in the series acquaints students with the main aspects of its topic while articulating the author’s distinctive viewpoint in a manner that will interest researchers.

About the Editor

Jussi Suikkanen is a Reader in Philosophy at the University of Birmingham, UK. He is the author of Contractualism (CUP, 2020) and This Is Ethics – An Introduction (Wiley Blackwell, 2015). His main research interests are in normative ethics, ethical theory, and metaethics.
