OA publishing agreement with the University of the Philippines System

If you are affiliated with University of the Philippines System, you can publish your article Open Access - in gold and hybrid journals. In addition, you can enjoy access to Cambridge University Press journals content.

  Participating institutions:

For the following institutions, funding is available for a limited number of articles. You may publish OA in journals covered by this agreement. Once this limit has been met, a 20% discount is available*. 

  Participating institutions:

• University of the Philippines Baguio
• University of the Philippines Diliman
• University of the Philippines Los Banos
• University of the Philippines Visayas

For the following institutions, a 20% discount on your APC is available in journals covered by this agreement*. 

• University of the Philippines Cebu
• University of the Philippines Manila
• University of the Philippines Mindanao
• University of the Philippines Open University
• University of the Philippines Tacloban College

* Authors will be invoiced for the discounted APC from their institution. Payment of the invoice must be received prior to article publication. When prompted via e-mail, please complete the APC transaction and select “seek funding via your institution”.

To be eligible, articles must:

• Have a corresponding author affiliated with a participating institution as listed above.
• Be original research – eligible article types are research articles, review articles and rapid communications, brief reports and case reports.
• Be accepted for publication in a Cambridge University Press journal covered by the agreement.
• Be accepted for publication from 1 January 2025.
