MRCPsych eLearning
MRCPsych eLearning is the online learning resource developed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists to support candidates in their preparation for the MRCPsych exams.
Our Paper A (formerly Trainees Online [TrOn]) modules are specifically designed to support revision with module topics drawn from the basic science subject areas of the exam syllabus. If you are a supervisor/trainer you can use MRCPsych eLearning Paper A modules as a high-quality learning resource to share with your resident doctors. All module content is aligned with knowledge that candidates are required to develop for the MRCPsych exams. MRCPsych eLearning Paper A resources are FREE to access for all College members.
We also offer a free-access Practice Paper to help consolidate learning from MRCPsych eLearning Paper A modules, test understanding of key concepts and reflect on progress working through the curriculum. While the questions draw on themes commonly encountered within MRCPsych eLearning modules, they are of course not intended to predict or guarantee the content of the formal examination.
Many of our CPD eLearning resources are relevant to the clinical components of the Paper B syllabus, and these have been identified and mapped accordingly. Although these are not specifically designed for Paper B revision in the way that Paper A modules are, these may be helpful to candidates preparing for this paper and are available via a CPD eLearning subscription.
We have also compiled Other useful resources relevant to your revision for the MRCPsych exams.
For further information or to view our full educational offering for candidates preparing for the MRCPsych exams, visit the MRCPsych eLearning pages on the eLearning Hub.

WPA and BJPsych Advances
Working together to support the authors of the future
The World Psychiatric Association (WPA) and BJPsych Advances, The Royal College of Psychiatrists’ CPD journal for consultant psychiatrists, are delighted to announce a new collaboration aiming to assist psychiatric trainees and early career psychiatrists to develop their writing skills.
Winners of the WPA’s 3 Minutes Presentations Competition to be held during the virtual 21st WPA World Congress of Psychiatry (18-21 October 2021) will be offered the opportunity to write an article for BJPsych Advances about a topic they presented during their session. The WPA will identify mentors to work with the winners to ensure that submissions reach the high quality required by the journal and they will be peer reviewed in the usual way.
This follows the publication of the BJPsych Advances/WPA Stress and Resilience special issue earlier this year and we look forward to further strengthening the collaboration between the BJPsych portfolio and WPA.
Visit WPA 3 minutes Presentations Competition for further information and to apply for a place in one of the sessions. Presenters should be registered to the WPA Congress to take part.
