Review process

This journal uses a single-anonymous model of peer review. The author does not know the identity of the reviewers, but the reviewers know the identity of the author.

If we decide to consider your manuscript for publication, our Editor-in-Chief will assign it to an Associate Editor. If the Associate Editor feels that your manuscript is appropriate for consideration, your paper will be sent to peer reviewers. The reviews will be submitted, and the Associate Editor may decide to request further revisions, at which point a due date will be set for your revised version. Once the Associate Editor reaches a final decision about your manuscript, you will receive an e-mail notification.

If the Associate Editors request revisions to your paper, you will be required to submit the Author Publishing Agreement along with your revision.

Appeals:

To appeal an editorial decision, contact the editorial office (cjns-ed@cambridge.org) and specify the reason for your appeal. Editors have broad discretion in deciding on acceptance or rejection of articles. Appeals will only be considered on procedural, process, or conflict of interest grounds, not scientific disagreements. Your appeal will be reviewed by the Editor in Chief. The final decision regarding your appeal will rest with the Editor in Chief.
