AGREEMENT ON CO-OPERATION IN THE FIELD OF TOURISM BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA
The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the Republic of Albania (hereinafter referred to as “the Contracting Parties”);
Desirous to further strengthen co-operation and to consolidate existing relations between the peoples of Albania and the peoples of the United Kingdom, and;
In order to further strengthen the relations that exist between them;
In view of the importance they attach to the exchange of information at the popular level, particularly in the field of tourism, the two sides have agreed as follows:
ARTICLE 1
The Contracting Parties undertake to facilitate tourist visits between the two countries.
ARTICLE 2
The Contracting Parties undertake to exchange material and publications on tourist information from their respective National Tourist Boards.
ARTICLE 3
The Contracting Parties shall allow the importation of such documents and material required for tourist promotion.
ARTICLE 4
The Contracting Parties shall encourage and create favourable conditions for nationals of the other side to participate in the construction, management and maintenance of tourist projects and other aspects of the tourism industry.
ARTICLE 5
(1) The Agreement shall enter into force upon signature.
(2) It shall remain in force for an indefinite period. Either side may terminate it by giving six months' advance notice in writing through diplomatic channels to the other side.
