Review process

This journal uses a single-anonymised model of peer review. The author does not know the identity of the reviewers, but the reviewers know the identity of the author.

Invited papers

PNS published invited papers from speakers at Nutrition Society-related conferences.

PNS uses a single-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are subject to review by the Editorial Board or external reviewers as appropriate.

Appeals process

Appeals against an editorial decision will be considered under exceptional circumstances only. Any appeal should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief via the Editorial Office (PNS.edoffice@cambridge.org) and must be received within 3 months from the date of the rejection letter. Such appeals must state clearly the grounds for the appeal. Uninvited resubmissions will not be considered.

If you have any other concerns about the handling of a manuscript or editorial processes of the journal, please contact the Editorial Office at: pns.edoffice@cambridge.org or the journal’s publisher, Cambridge University Press, at publishingethics@cambridge.org.

Original Communications (Abstracts)

Before being accepted for presentation, abstracts are reviewed by a scientific and editorial committee consisting of conference organisers and Society Theme Leaders and Trustees. Abstracts will be considered based on the quality of the communication in terms of its relevance to nutritional science, the substance of its results, and its originality.
