This chapter demonstrates the relationship between several political players in the Israeli arena with regard to the defense of human rights in Israel through a deep and detailed analysis of three case studies. The first case is a general one pertaining to the activism of the military court in Israel. The second and third cases are specific judicial decisions dealing with a dispute over acceptable interrogation measures for detainees suspected of committing offenses against state security and a dispute over land use, respectively.
